6th International Arbo Valdma Winter Master Class 2011

Master Class:

  • The course lasts for a week from Friday to next Friday (7+1 extra day).
  • Every participant is entitled to 4 individual lessons with Professor Arbo Valdma.
  • The participants have a free choice of repertoire.
  • Students can play either by heart or from notes. (If you are planning to use notes, please make sure to bring two sets of notes with you).
  • Lessons will be held in Pärnu Town Hall (Nikolai 3).
  • Lessons are open to the public.
  • Students can rehearse in Pärnu Music School’s (Aida 4) piano classrooms (up to 5 hours per day, in accordance to music schools timetable). It is Estonian Republic Anniversary on February 24, the Music School will be closed - vacation day for participants (only for final concert soloists we will provide some rehearsal places). Entering the Music School some inside shoes or slippers needed!
    • As part of our tradition, Master Class students will give studio concerts in Pärnu Town Hall and in various schools of Pärnu. Some few students will perform at Final Concert with Pärnu City Orchestra at Pärnu Concert Hall. The performers of Final Concert will be decided by prof. Arbo Valdma.

    Ástor Piazzolla "La Muerte del Angel" for piano and string orchestra;
    Camille Saint-Saëns Wedding Cake Caprice-Valse Op. 76

    Tuition fee:

    Participation fee €300. Additional fee €200 when performing with orchestra. Tuition fee does not include accommodation nor travel costs. Registration fee €100. It will be not payed back, except in case the Master Class will be canceled itself. The participation fee will be added to the registration fee. After you have sent us the registration form, we will send you invoice and after the money has received to us we will accept your participation. NB! Registration will end on December 31, 2010 or until the limit of participants will be fulfilled (up to 14 participants).
